Journalism and me

 Hi, I'm Ashna Kumar and I am currently studying journalism at Sac City College. Journalism has always been a passion of mine, and I am thrilled to be pursuing a degree in this field.Studying journalism has provided me with the opportunity to develop and refine my writing, communication, and storytelling skills. I have learned the importance of accuracy, integrity, and ethics in journalism, and I am committed to upholding these values in my future career.


One of the most exciting aspects of studying journalism is the opportunity to stay informed about current events and societal issues. I believe that journalism plays a crucial role in holding those in power accountable and in informing the public about important events and developments. I am passionate about using my voice and platform to shed light on important stories and to advocate for positive change in society. Sac City College has provided me with an excellent education in journalism, and I have been fortunate to learn from experienced and knowledgeable professors who have provided me with valuable insights and guidance. I have also had the opportunity to engage in hands-on experiences through internships and extracurricular activities that have allowed me to apply my skills and knowledge in real-world settings.


In addition to my academic studies, I have been actively involved in campus journalism organizations, and I have had the opportunity to contribute to the college newspaper and other media outlets. These experiences have allowed me to develop my writing and reporting skills while also building a network of peers and professionals in the field.As I continue my studies in journalism, I am eager to continue honing my skills and gaining new experiences that will prepare me for a successful career in the industry. I am excited about the potential to make a positive impact through my work, and I am committed to upholding the principles of journalistic integrity and ethical reporting.
