can't believe you're in love with me.
Sapphire, staring at Aaron with wide eyes, finally musters the words, "I can’t believe you’re in love with me!" If a jawdrop had a sound effect, it would’ve been a dramatic "thud!" Aaron, with his confident grin that could make a catwalk model look insecure, shrugs and says, "Hey, someone had to love the guy who plays the drums in the school band. There’s a shortage of rock stars out there, you know!” Sapphire, the queen of the school with her watermelon lip gloss that probably has a fan club, is now speechless. It’s not every day a drum-playing Romeo steals your heart, especially when you’ve got a locker full of scented notebooks that smell like a fruit salad explosion after a particularly vibrant summer day. After a moment of awkward silence where even the classroom clock seems to hold its breath, Aaron leans in a bit closer, glancing at the rose tucked snugly in his locker, and says, “Besides, you’re the only one who can make me look cool while I’m practicing my drum solos. It's like adding a little sparkle to a rock concert! Sapphire bursts into laughter, “Listen, if you keep complimenting me while trying to play the drum solo, you might just have to share your secret stash of rose blooms!” And just like that, the two lovebirds continue passing notes, scheming over who gets to bring the snacks for the next band practice, because nothing screams romance quite like pizza rolls and soda!
